Implicit Biases are those attitudes and associations that we have that are unconscious. These biases often affect our interactions, decisions and behaviors towards our patients in our delivery of healthcare. Although implicit bias can be both positive or negative, this Viva Learning CE class focuses on identifying and reducing the incidence of negative bias in our patient interactions to ensure the highest level of care and attention to our patients. After completion of this CE class, you will be able to: 1. Understand what Implicit Bias is. 2. Identify negative bias and understand why it can be unintentionally harmful. 3.
