Old Dogs, New Tricks: Utilizing Classic Dental Materials for Successful Treatment Outcomes with an Aging Demographic
Presenter: Dr. Miles Cone CE Supporter: GC America
As the patient pool in each dental practice continues to age, clinicians must thoughtfully consider and approach the evolving restorative needs and oral health demands of each individual patient. This CE webinar will cover several real-world case studies which demonstrate a customized approach to treatment planning endosseous implants, improving the esthetics of darker teeth, aiding the retention and stability of removable prosthetics, and improving the overall hygiene and well-being of periodontally compromised dentition within an ageing demographic. Special Care for Special Needs
Presenter: Jamie Collins, RDH-EA CE Supporter: GC America
One in 44 children have been diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum, with approximately 100 newly diagnosed patients daily. Since first identified as a disorder in the 1940’s, Autism Spectrum is the fastest growing developmental disorder in current history. Treating special needs patients in a dental practice presents a multitude of challenges from behavior and cooperation concerns to related health concerns, not to mention the oral considerations associated with medications. As these children on the Autism Spectrum age and integrate into society as young adults many also age out of pediatric dental practices and are seen in general practices. As a practicing hygienist and mother of an Autistic child the speaker has learned methods to ease the anxiety associated with dental appointments for many patients in addition to common oral conditions that may affect individuals with Special Needs.

Anterior Direct Composite Restorations - The Ultimate Additive Solution
Presenter: Dr. Mehrdad Razaghy CE Supporter: GC America
Anterior direct composite restorations are commonly regarded as one of the more intricate procedures within the realm of everyday dentistry. This particular aspect of dentistry requires the expertise of both the dental technician and the restorative dentist. Throughout this CE webinar, we will explore the significance of adhering to a straightforward checklist that can significantly enhance the predictability of direct resin restorations in the anterior region. Our focus will encompass the latest bonding protocol, which falls under the purview of Biomimetic Dentistry. By delving into numerous clinical examples, we will gain insights into a streamlined workflow that facilitates the attainment of reliable outcomes when working with composite materials in the anterior region. We will underscore the importance of case design, morphology, shade selection, and finishing techniques.

Today, there are a multitude of different materials to choose from in CAD/CAM dentistry. A fully crystallized Lithium Disilicate block is a material that is time efficient, esthetic, precise, and cost effective. In this CE webinar, we will discuss how to choose the right block for your patient in order to create an esthetic outcome with long term success, while saving chair time. Attendees will learn how to create life-like natural restorations that do not have to be fired in a single visit.
There are so many different direct restoration restorative materials available that it often gets overwhelming as to what one should buy or use. At the same time dentists want simplification in their systems and a good return on their investment of time and materials. This CE webinar will discuss various types of direct restorative materials and how we can simplify our systems and create the best possible outcome for our patients.
This CE webinar is designed to expand your clinical knowledge of innovative products that offer more preventative options. If you’re tired of seeing patients come back with caries (and we all know they’re tired of the pain and inconvenience), learn how to stop the caries cycle using more non-invasive treatments. Glass Ionomer sealants are not just for public health patients. They are not only proven effective, but they can be applied in even the most difficult situations because there are no bonding agents or isolation necessary. You’ll not only be treating vulnerable sites and patients, but the slow release of fluoride will keep protecting them between visits. You’ll learn about products that offer your patients sensitivity relief, greater fluoride protection, and the prevention of white spot lesions.
This one-hour CE webinar provides a detailed and scientific description of the evolution of the post and core system and the significance of the adhesive design concept when restoring the intraradicular post space. A detailed presentation is provided of the various clinical applications and restorative techniques and materials that I use on a daily basis with my patients for restoring the post space.
Anterior composite procedures are some of the highest anxiety treatments dentists perform. The use of "chameleon" composites is becoming more mainstream for increasing the predictability of these treatments, thus lowering the stressors involved. How do these composites work and what should you consider when selecting these materials? This CE webinar will not only help you understand their capabilities but will discuss what is a "success" and what is a "failure" for the treating dentist, as well as the patient. Become more efficient, be proud of your treatment results, and find joy in conservative and highly esthetic dentistry.
Glass ionomer materials are the only materials in wide use that bond chemically to tooth structure, release fluoride and have similar coefficient of thermal expansion as enamel and dentin. This CE webinar will focus on the expanded use of glass ionomer materials that are now available and have the potential to change the way direct restorative dentistry is practiced. Glass ionomers have long been considered materials suitable for use as liners, bases, restorative materials for pediatric and geriatric use, root caries and interim restorative materials for permanent adult teeth. Evidence on long-term success rate of glass ionomer materials as direct restorative materials on adult permanent teeth will be presented and discussed. Clinical cases demonstrating use of these materials will be presented as well.
During this CE webinar, we will
• learn how to use simplified shade universal composites to place invisible restorations
• discuss how to use new dentin bonding systems which significantly improve bond strengths to root surfaces
• demonstrate how to increase longevity while reducing sensitivity of composite restorations
With the plethora of dental materials out there, choosing the right cement in the right situation has become more and more critical. In this CE webinar, join us as we navigate the path of proper cementation and learn how to treat the substrates and then choose the proper cement in every clinical situation.
Upon completion of this CE webinar, you will be able to:
• incorporate a Simplified Unishade Composite System into your practice.
• understand how adaptive shade matching technology allows for the blending of composite into tooth structure
• understand how to place dentin and enamels layers of composite with a Simplified Unishade Composite System.
During this CE webinar, we will review the following topics:
• Compare the longevity and caries inhibition of various restorative materials
• Slow or stop recurrent decay with simple technique modifications
• Produce a more favorable ecologic balance around the margins of restorations
• Modify patient behavior and improve treatment prognosis
everX Flow is a short fiber-reinforced dentin replacement that provides excellent core strength and fracture resistance. You can use it for core build-ups, substructure for endodontically-treated teeth, coronal restorations and teeth with large cavities in high stress-bearing areas, knowing that you’ll be restoring teeth in a biomimetic way and preventing crack propagation.
New from GC America: everX Flow™ is a highly fracture resistant composite substructure which may be used as a dentin replacement material in bulk filling and core build-up applications, as well as in cases where endodontic stability must be restored.
