This CE webinar is designed to provide an understanding of the rationale for the use of mouth rinses and their effect on oral biofilms teeth, oral soft tissues and implants. Mouth rinses can be used to not only reduce plaque biofilm in the mouth but also as a pre-procedural rinse to reduce the bacterial content of dental aerosols generated during therapy as well as to reduce the number of bacteria associated with bacteremia. Also, the benefits of a non-alcohol containing chlorhexidine rinse will be discussed as well as the anti-inflammatory effects of a novel alcohol free rinse for oral lesions. |
