Vaccines are here – but the pandemic of COVID-19 continues. Are you confused about respiratory protection requirements? Frustrated about the shortage of supplies of masks and respirators? This CE webinar will discuss the protection factors and differences between surgical masks and respirators, and when respirators must be worn. In addition, the webinar will review the requirements of the OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard, and CDC Interim Guidance for Dental settings, which includes proper donning and doffing of PPE, reuse of respirators under the FDA’s EUA when supplies are minimal, medical evaluations and fit testing for respirators and more.

Upon completion of this CE webinar, participants will be able to:
• Discuss why the pandemic of COVID-19 is still a concern when vaccines are now available.
• Compare the protection provided by a surgical mask vs. an N-95 respirator
• Demonstrate the proper way to don and doff an N95 respirator
• Summarize the need for medical evaluations and fit testing for respirators
• Develop a respiratory protection plan for their dental practice   ( disclaimer, bio and commercial disclosure )
