The tubes coming in and out of our dental units get tangled up in our ops and tangled up in our brains. Each one requires specific care and maintenance to keep patients and clinicians safe. Mixing them up could ruin equipment or harm patients. Dental Unit Waterlines (DUWLs) are in the news and on OSHA inspection checklists. But the process of testing and treating waterlines is often misunderstood or even forgotten about. Since the COVID pandemic suction lines are being used for more than just the management of saliva and water, we are depending on them to decrease aerosols as well. This CE webinar will look at what's lurking in our waterlines and suction lines as well as how to properly use and maintain them for safety and maximum suction. Participants will leave with the confidence to be the Line Leader in their practice!
During this CE webinar, we will cover the following:
• Understand the importance of clean dental unit waterlines
• Define the steps needed to “pass the waterline test” - shock, test, treat, maintain
• Formulate an effective protocol to maximize your suction lines   ( disclaimer, bio and commercial disclosure )
