Fibre-Reinforced Direct Bridges: New Techniques for Success

Presenter: Dr. Marvin Chacon Release Date: 1/17/25
Credits:  1 CEU   Expiration Date: 1/17/28
AGD Subject Code: 610
CE Supporter: VOCO America

Fibre-reinforced direct bridges (FRDB’s) have shown good performance in clinical applications, capable of overcoming functional masticatory loading with a more biomimetic behavior than rigid metallic or full ceramic prostheses. Its retention relies on adhesive capacity which allows a lower tooth structure removal than conventional alternatives, as minimal or no sound tooth structure preparation is needed on the abutment.

During this CE webinar, we will review:
• The importance of an alternative option to provide missing tooth
• Awareness regarding the absence of well established clinical protocols for fibre-reinforced bridges
• Share a brief explication about the 4 key parameters that guarantee the success of fibre-reinforced bridges: fibre selection, cavity design, framework design and pontic design
• Speak about what I consider the “invincible marriage” in fibre reinforced bridges fabrication
• Clinical workflow of the long-term provisional and definitive fibre reinforced direct bridge   ( disclaimer, bio and commercial disclosure )
